Nintendo officially announced the followup to their successful, yet never in stock and extremely hard to find NES Classic Edition. The new console is called the Super NES Classic Edition and, you guessed it, it features games from the Super Nintendo, or SNES.

The new iteration will feature less games than its predecessor, down from 30 games to 21 this time around, but arguably boasts the stronger lineup with titles such as Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Mario World. You can find the complete list of games here. The NES introduced us to the characters we know and love today but the SNES is where they really rounded into form.

If the extreme supply and demand issues tell you anything, it’s that Nintendo can’t keep up with demand for their consoles. Nintendo has failed to keep to Switch in stock, although that might not be completely their fault, and the NES Classic Edition flew off store shelves and never really appeared on them ever again.
