Netflix is finally bringing back The Crown for another season, and fans are itching to find out details on when and where they can watch. The show will be released in bulk– all ten episodes for the second season will drop at once, on Friday, December 8.

But when exactly can you watch the show? The Crown will likely become available at 3 a.m. Eastern time on Friday. From time to time, Netflix delays the release a couple hours, so it’s possible it won’t be that early.

The first season of The Crown earned rave reviews and a slew of awards, including winning Best Actress and Actor at the SAG Awards for Claire Foy and John Lithgow, and thirteen nominations at the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series.

Early reviews state that the second installment of The Crown is dazzling. Variety writes, “Season 2 of this lavishly made, approximately true biographical series about the young Queen Elizabeth II deserves an upgrade in praise, while also recognizing that the show has discovered its top and gone a little over it.”

Fans of the show are well aware that this will mark Claire Foy’s final season. She will be replaced in seasons 3 and 4 by actress Olivia Colman. The news was announced by Entertainment Weekly in October.

Colman, a talented actress by all accounts, has won three BAFTA Awards, three BIFA Awards, one Golden Globe, and has been nominated for an Emmy twice. Foy is elated that Colman was chosen to succeed her. Speaking to Jimmy Fallon recently, she said, “She’s great. You’ll forget all about me and the rest of the cast… You’ll be like, ‘Who are they?’ We’re the warm-up act.”
