(Nintendo)

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is releasing its first DLC pack later this month and Nintendo’s Treehouse stream showed off a lot more details about the pack.

We’ve learned what each of the sets of armor will do to start.

  • Tingle Armor Set Bonus: Night Speed Up
  • Phantom Armor: No Set Bonus
  • Midna Helmet: Guardian Resistance Up
  • Majora’s Mask: Makes it harder for certain enemies to spot you
  • Korok Mask: Shakes when you’re near a Korok

The Master Mode, the hard mode for the game, will have a separate save file and will not require you to finish normal mode first. You can jump right in and play Master Mode if you so choose. Hero’s Path will reveal everywhere you’ve been on the map and everywhere you haven’t been. It gives you an idea of what to explore and where potential Korok seeds might be. It’s a good feature we’re glad to see make it to the game. It will record up to 200 hours of gameplay and shows everywhere you have died.

The final thing we were shown was the Trial of the Sword. The mode requires you to return to where you received the Master Sword and starts a trial where you start off naked. You start off with no items but you do have your runes. Completing this trial, all 45 rooms, will permanently keep the Master Sword’s power at 60, instead of 30 when you aren’t near guardians or Ganon. For an added challenge, you can tackle this trial in Master Mode and the enemies will scale up. You can’t move on until you take care of all the enemies in the room.

The first DLC pack will be coming for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for Wii U and Nintendo Switch on June 30. DLC Pack 2 is called Champion’s Ballad and will be included with the Expansion Pass as well.
