San Francisco UPS Shooting: Photos & Videos From the Scene


Multiple people were shot after a gunman entered a United Parcel Service facility in San Francisco and opened fire.

According to ABC 7 News, at least three people were shot in the chaos and have been transported to nearby facilities. A source told the news outlet that the shooter “turned the gun on himself” and committed suicide. Police continued a search of the building to ensure there were no other accomplices. The condition of the victims is currently unknown.

A source indicated to the ABC 7 that the lone shooter entered the building during a morning meeting and surmised that it may have been a “disgruntled employee.”

Officers from the San Francisco Police Department responded to reports of a shooting at a United Parcel Service facility in Potrero Hill on June 14.

According to the Los Angeles Times, authorities conducted a search of the building at around 10:15 a.m. and told those inside the building and in the area to remain calm and shelter in place.

The UPS facility is located on 17th Street and San Bruno Avenue in San Francisco.

One witness that worked nearby, David Phister, told ABC 7 that they heard at least four shots fired at around 9 a.m. When Phister ran to the windo, he said that he heard about four more and saw people fleeing the building.

UPS released a statement shortly after the matter at its San Francisco location confirming that a shooting had occurred.

UPS confirms there was an incident involving employees within the company’s facility in San Francisco earlier this morning. Local law enforcement have control of the facility and are conducting an investigation. The company is cooperating with law enforcement. We cannot provide information as to the identity of persons involved at this time, pending the police investigation.
