Tonight, Season 2 of Queen Sugar will air on OWN. The season will be 16 episodes long, and will premiere with a two-episode special on two consecutive nights, beginning June 20th at 10pm ET/PT.
In the season 1 finale, Ralph Angel found a locked box that contained a will from his father, telling him the entire Bordelon farm was his. Tonight, we’ll find out what he intends to do with that information. In a recent interview with Deadline, Dawn-Len Gardner, who plays Charley Bordelon West, said, “The biggest theme really across the season is about legacy… We’re talking about how all these characters are moving forward after [their father’s] death. They are choosing to honor his death in their lives, with their own choices. They are looking towards the future now… you see also themes of identity, recreation, and self definition.”
