Just four days after she apologized for posing in a photo with a bloody, severed head of President Donald Trump, comedian Kathy Griffin is speaking out at a press conference.

Griffin will be joined alongside attorney Lisa Bloom on Friday at noon EDT to address the controversy she created when she posed for photographer Tyler Shields with the bloody Trump head.

Bloom said in a news release that the pair are going to “explain the true motivation behind the image, and respond to the bullying from the Trump family she has endured.”

As a result of the backlash she received from posing for the photoshoot, Griffin was fired from her role as a host on CNN’s annual New Year’s Eve show. She later apologized in a video she posted to her Twitter account, saying that she went too far with the photos.

“I’m a comic,” she said. “I cross the line. I move the line, and then I cross it. I went way too far.”

The Trumps have spoken out against Griffin and her decision to follow through with the photos. First Lady Melania Trump issued a statement criticizing Griffin and wondering about her mental health.

As a mother, a wife, and a human being, that photo is very disturbing. When you consider some of the atrocities happening in the world today, a photo opportunity like this is simply wrong and makes you wonder about the mental health of the person who did it.

The president himself lashed out against the comedian on Twitter, saying that his 11-year-old son Barron was distraught at the image of his father’s head being held by Griffin.

Donald Trump Jr. weighed in on the image, saying “this is the left today.”

The Trumps weren’t the only ones to weigh in on the controversy. Chelsea Clinton called it “vile and wrong” while former NYE co-host Anderson Cooper said he was “appalled.”

Interestingly enough, “bullying” is something Griffin has been accused of doing with her comedic style. She had a feud with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, and it climaxed when Palin called Griffin a “50-year-old bully.”

Bloom has also received criticism for representing Griffin. She addressed those comments with a tweet prior to the press conference.
