The seemingly endless run of NBA rumors over the last couple of days appeared to evolve into a real deal, as the Los Angeles Lakers have reportedly struck a deal with the Brooklyn Nets, shipping out D’Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov’s brutal contract in exchange for Brook Lopez.

The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski broke the news:

Here’s an updated look at Los Angeles’ roster after the trade:

PG: Jordan Clarkson

SG: Nick Young, David Nwaba, Corey Brewer

SF: Brandon Ingram, Luol Deng

PF: Julius Randle, Larry Nance

C: Ivica Zubac, Tarik Black

Free Agents: Tyler Ennis, Metta World Peace, Thomas Robinson

You can go ahead and pencil in Lonzo Ball at point guard, as well. The general though is that Russell was going to play more 2 in order to make room for Ball, a more pass-first point guard, so his departure all but guarantees the UCLA product is staying in LA.
