A shooting spree with multiple victims occurred in Fresno, California, with a gunman “spraying rounds” at people downtown, reports the Fresno Bee.
The shooting was unfolding on April 18, just as people breathed a sigh of relief after the news that another shooter, Cleveland Facebook Killer Steve Stephens had committed suicide in Erie, Pennylvania.
The Fresno shooting killed at least two people. There were reports that utility workers were among the three people shot.
The gunman’s identity and whereabouts are not yet known.

1. The Shooting Occurred Outside a Catholic Charities Building
According to the Bee, the Fresno gunman opened fire in the parking lot of “Catholic Charities at Divisadero and Fulton in downtown Fresno.
2. The Shooter Was Reloading & Cursing as he Fired, Reports Say
The shooter paused to reload and was cursing as he opened fire on people in the parking lot, reported the Bee.
3. At Least One Person, a Utility Worker, Was Killed in the Rampage
Although details were still coming in, local media reported that at least one person had died in the shooting spree. Those shot were utility workers with PG&E, reported George Takata, a local radio host.

Police were planning an August 18 briefing.
4. One of the Victims Drove to a Nearby Police Station
According to a KSEE24 reporter, “Pg&e workers victim of shooting, driver drove to police station. Police chief on scene car windows busted.”
5. The Fresno Jail & Courthouse Were on Lockdown
Takata reported that criminal justice buildings were locked down.
