Most college football fans enjoy looking at the new set of rankings on Sunday morning. With games being played on Sunday and Monday for the opening week, fans will have to wait until Tuesday, September 5 to see the new college rankings.

Alabama held serve as they used a big second half to route Florida State. Other teams that had a good first week include Michigan, Penn State, Virginia Tech and Maryland among others.
It was a brutal week for Florida State who not only lost to the Crimson Tide, but will be without quarterback Deondre Francois for the season.
It will be interesting to see what the voters do with UCLA. The Bruins had a brutal first half against Texas A&M, before Josh Rosen helped orchestrate a miraculous comeback victory. Will they be penalized for their play most of the game, or rewarded for the amazing comeback?
Tennessee and Georgia Tech will conclude Week 1 with a primetime Labor Day matchup. Looking ahead to next week, Oklahoma taking on Ohio State will be the marquee matchup of the week.
