Previously, production of Bachelor In Paradise was suspended over an alleged scandal of sexual misconduct. After a producer on the show filed a complaint, production was stopped and the cast was sent home, as first reported by TMZ. Contestants DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios engaged in a sexual encounter, that Olympios claimed to have no recollection of, saying she was too drunk to consent to anything. Unfortunately for Olympios, some of her fellow cast members (Raven Gates and Jasmine Goode) seemed to have felt that Olympios knew what was going on and possibly not as drunk as she let on. Raven Gates also revealed that Olympios has a boyfriend and was telling the other cast members that her boyfriend would be mad to find out what she’d done while filming.

After a long investigation, TMZ confirms that the conclusion is that there was no evidence of sexual misconduct, after viewing the footage of the alleged incident. The official statement released by Warner Bros. reads:

As we previously stated, we recently became aware of allegations regarding an incident on the set of Bachelor in Paradise in Mexico. We take all such allegations seriously. The safety, security and well-being of the cast and crew is our number one concern, and we suspended filming so that the allegations could be investigated immediately and thoroughly. Our internal investigation, conducted with the assistance of an outside law firm, has now been completed. Out of respect for the privacy interests of those involved, we do not intend to release the videotape of the incident. We can say, however, that the tape does not support any charge of misconduct by a cast member. Nor does the tape show, contrary to many press reports, that the safety of any cast member was ever in jeopardy.

The premiere of the new season was set for August 8, 2017 and it looks like the show may be able to keep their premiere date. Sources told TMZ that filming will resume in the same location as it was originally and that the show will air this summer. Unfortunately for curious fans, the pool incident will not air, as Warner Bros. has stated. Whether or not Olympios and Jackson will be included in the show is yet to be determined.

Previously, blogger Reality Steve reported that the producer who filed the original complaint was actually a friend of Olympios and hadn’t seen the footage of the pool incident. For those conspiracy theorists out there, some may speculate that Olympios was trying to cover up cheating on her boyfriend somehow.
