Last month we were treated to a mind-blowing acoustic performance of TLC’s 1994 hit song “Waterfalls” by the coaches of The Voice, and today Ellen DeGeneres decided she wanted to join in on the jam session.
The television host shared an updated version of the video on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, where she inserted herself into the original performance with Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Alicia Keys—and we can’t stop LOLing over the clip. Levine and Shelton play the guitar while Keys is on the piano, and all four of the musicians trade off taking the lead on vocals. For DeGeneres’s part, she grabs her own (very unique) instrument and attempts to add her own pipes to the mix, even grabbing Stefani’s microphone at one point.
“I don’t know if you’ve been watching The Voice, but they did something really cool. All of the judges had this jam session where they played TLC‘s ‘Waterfalls’ and it was really great, I thought,” DeGeneres said before playing the short on her show.
